Understand the basics of announcements.

Announcements are a way for product teams to communicate with their go-to-market teams. By connecting customer calls with product feature, Twine can deliver custom messages based on what customers have said to on calls to account owners. This can be used to close the loop when a feature is ready to ship or prompt specific messages only to go-to-market individuals working with customers who have mentioned the feature in question.

To create a new announcement, open the feature and click New Announcement in the top right corner.

Give the announcement a title then add the content that you'd like to share. Format the message as needed and add hyperlinks to any relevant content. To preview how the message will look in Slack, click Preview in Slack in the lower right. This will send you a personal preview of the message from the Twine Slack app. Once done, click Continue in the lower right.

Twine will then find all go-to-market team members who have had a customer interested in this feature. Click the x to remove anyone, or the +Add button at the bottom of the list to add individuals or public Slack channels. Once done, click Send in the lower right.

Any individuals selected will receive a personalized message from Twine containing the announcement as well as which customers mentioned the feature, and what they said on the call. This helps them follow up in a more informed, timely manner without large meetings or all staff emails.
