Announcements are a way for product teams to communicate with their go-to-market teams. By connecting customer calls with product feature, Twine can deliver custom messages based on what customers have said to on calls to account owners. This can be used to close the loop when a feature is ready to ship or prompt specific messages only to go-to-market individuals working with customers who have mentioned the feature in question.
To create a new announcement, click Announcements in the left nav menu.
Selecting a template will give you a suggested format that is easy for your GTM teams to consume, but is fully customizable. You can include links to slides, wiki pages, one-pagers, Calendly links, or whatever information is required to give everyone context on the update.
Once you add your content and click Continue, Twine will automatically find the relevant reps to personally update via Slack DM based on calls they've had with customers. You can manually add or remove individuals from the list, and have the option to also send your message broadly to a public channel. Click Preview as to see the message any of the individuals will see. This preview will be sent to you as a Slack DM.
The reps with matched customers will receive your message body, as well as suggested customers to follow up with, ranked by revenue opportunity via a Slack DM. The DM will include each customer, the feedback they shared, the account value, any open opportunity values, and links to dive in and revisit the specific calls.
Announcements are the easiest way to keep your GTM teams aligned with what is happening with your product team, and gives them all the tools they need to close the loop with customers to keep them happy and engaged with your product.
